HW started as a general engineering business in the farming town of Cambridge, repairing many different brands of farm trailer over 50 years, and seeing first-hand what bent, cracked, wore out and caused problems over time.

Those years of repair work taught us what failed, what lasted, and what farmers actually needed from a trailer. We took those lessons into our own designs and have kept improving them ever since.

  • Why should I buy a Maxi instead of a cheaper trailer?

    We spent decades repairing farm trailers, so we know what a cheaper trailer can cost you later. Cracks, rust, bent decks, worn components and repeat repairs add up quickly. In every case, buying the right trailer the first time is cheaper than fixing the wrong one over and over.

  • Why do you build Maxi trailers to order instead of keeping them in stock?

    Because we don’t want to sell you whatever happens to be sitting in the yard. We want to build the trailer that suits your tractor, your farm and the work you need it to do. Built to order lets us get that right from the start, with no compromises.

    Our one-piece-flow manufacturing process also means building trailers to order helps us deliver amazing quality at an amazing price.

  • My current trailer still works. Why should I replace it now?

    Equipment doesn’t break in the shed. It breaks while you’re using it.

    If you already know your trailer is getting near the end, it makes far more sense to start the build while it’s still working than wait until it fails and you suddenly need a replacement.

    You’ll also have a chance to get some resale value out of your old trailer while it’s still working — and let someone else worry about keeping it going while you focus on keeping the farm running with a whole lot less stress.

  • How do I know which Maxi trailer is right for me?

    You shouldn’t have to work through a range of sizes, options and model numbers and gamble on the decision yourself.

  • What happens if HW recommends the wrong trailer?

    If we’re the ones telling you which trailer to buy, the risk shouldn’t sit with you.

    We agree on what you need the trailer to do, make the recommendation, and if what we recommend doesn’t suit those agreed needs, we’ll make it right.

  • How can I buy a trailer confidently if I haven’t seen it in person?

    You don’t need to buy it blind.

    We can walk you around a Maxi live on video, show you every part you want to see and answer any question you like. You can properly understand what you’re buying before you commit.

    We can also try to connect you with another real Maxi owner like you, so you can talk one-on-one about what it’s actually like to own one.

  • What happens if I need help after I buy it?

    The same workshop that builds your Maxi is still here after you’ve bought it.

    We service and repair what we sell, supply parts, and back our workmanship and design with a 24-month warranty.
